Minimum three (3) years experience in the wireless tower telecommunications industry. Requires ability to troubleshoot and operate power tools, and various test equipment, including ground resistance and sweep testing. Requires knowledge and proficiency with basic knots, to include clove hitch, bowline, pipe hitch and inline bowline. Requires knowledge and demonstrated proficiency of rigging techniques, along with how to route coax, jumpers; how to weatherproof connectors and grounds; also requires knowledge of 100% tie-off procedures. Must be conversant with OSHA regulations, Volt Safety Plan, etc. Requires background in construction or electronics; also requires efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio.
Acts as Site Safety Manager and Trainer; administers DarkNet's Safety Plan; Manages crew safety, time, materials, and site cleanup; provides tower management and maintenance; erects towers and monopoles at heights over 300 ft; installs antenna and line systems, microwave-dishes, mounts, etc. Performs grounding, hoisting, and rigging; also performs maintenance tasks, including repair of lighting systems, painting, change-outs, etc. Works on rooftops, water tanks, grain silos, or church steeples, and performs civil or warehouse work as needed. Completes as-built documents, field reports, and site records.
