Minimum one (1) year experience in the wireless tower telecommunications industry. Requires ability to operate power tools. Requires knowledge of basic knots: Clove hitch, bowline, pipe hitch, and inline bowline. Requires knowledge of how to route coax, jumpers; how to weatherproof connectors and grounds; also requires knowledge of 100% tie-off procedures. Must be familiar with OSHA, safety issues, etc. Requires background in construction or electronics.
Adheres to safety requirements and reports unsafe working conditions. Provides support to Tower Crew Leader in provisioning for wireless telecommunications entities. Works under direction, guidance and supervision of the Tower Crew Leader. Erects towers; installs antenna and line systems, microwave-dishes, mounts, etc. Performs tasks assigned by Tower Crew Leader, including, terminating lines, grounding, hoisting, and rigging; also performs maintenance tasks, including repair of lighting systems, painting, change-outs, etc. Works on rooftops, water tanks, grain silos, or church steeples, and performs civil or warehouse work as needed.
